THE NOT PERFECT HAT CLUB
Because nobody's perfect
and everyone is unique and similar in someway. We are all different in at least one way. We all have different skills that some people can’t do like Front Flipping and Back flipping, but there are some skills that people can do, like Midge and Newton have there own skills.
Newton was a Show dog but he didn’t win any shows. Then after he was taken to catastrophe, Carl and Ms. Jenaia took him in as a therapy dog. At that time, Midge and Carl had to show him how to live a normal life, as a normal dog. When winter came into Ms. Jenaia and Carl’s home, Newton was taken on long walks each day, when one special walk with his owner, Carl said that people are like snowflakes, and that that even though they are all going to the same place, each individual snowflake is different.
Just like Newton and Midge. Then that triggered a thought in Newton's mind and he stopped walking to think about what Carl had said. “Carl’s Words were beginning to sink in. Suddenly, I had to stop and think. I sat down in snow and stared up at the person who had rescued me from catastrophe. Only one Newton.” Excerpt from . Pg-17

newton was feeling sad because he didn't like other dogs gossiping (talking behind their back) and it wasn't his fault that jabber was hurt. jabber got distracted when newton barked and fell of his skateboard.

Yes, I think he was sad. I'd be sad too if something I did (even if I didn't meant to) caused an accident. And agree it wasn' his fault. What do you think Jabber can do to help Newton feel better?

Bri: I needed to apologize when I broke my sister's binder after I kicked it and it fell apart. Then I had to go to my room.
Megan: I needed to apologize when I kicked him and he whacked his head on the wall.

Ouch! Sounds like you were both very angry. Can you think of ways to get your anger out of your body that won't hurt anyone or anything? It's hard I know. Did it help you feel better when you apologized?

    #NPHCblog

Each week, students will read three to four chapters of The Not Perfect Hat Club book.  The #NPHCBlogIt team will have posted questions based on those chapters to encourage discussion and writing activities. Students will blog and/or Vlog, comment on one another’s posts, and post questions to the #NPHCBlogIt sites as well. We will also be doing a limited number of Twitter and Skype visits (dates to be determined) that you and your students are welcome to attend. The more the merrier!
